Royal Family KIDS Timberline Chapter
Royal Family KIDS was started in 1985 by a California pastor and his wife as a way to provide hope for local foster children. Today, RFK is a network of camps and programs hosted by church partners. In 2020, there were 262 chapters in 44 states in the United States offering RFK programming, as well as programs in 12 other countries, that served more than 10,000 children.
The Larimer County chapter held its first camp in 2016 for children ages 6-12 and started a mentoring program for children ages 11-17 in 2018. Currently we serve 69 children in the Larimer County foster care system through camp, mentoring, quarterly events, and caregiver family support. Our team of more than 100 trained volunteers works tirelessly throughout the year to make moments matter for the children we serve and ensure they know they are loved.
This year, we will be merging with the Weld County chapter to form a single Timberline Chapter that is blessed to be able to serve children and families in Larimer and Weld Counties through multiple programs. Watch for more details coming soon.
