Our testimonial for the support we receive from Realities for Children:
The purpose of Royal Family KIDS is to create positive life changing moments for children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
Our mission began locally 6 years ago in November 2014 when Wayne Tesch, the founder of Royal Family KIDS International, came to speak at Timberline church for Orphan Care weekend. His message to serve foster children inspired our congregation to start two weeklong overnight camps for local foster kids ages 6-12 years old. Since then, we’ve conducted 8 live camps and 2 virtual camps with a total of 366 camper spots, and filled over 700 volunteer roles. We’ve also established a year-round, one-on- one mentoring program focusing primarily on the kids too old to come back to camp.
Through our Summer Camps, Mentoring Program, and large quarterly events including a Back to School party, we treat the kids like royalty, giving them affirmation, unconditional love, and the opportunity to make memories they will cherish forever. Not only has this RFK mission completely changed the lives of many at-risk children in our Northern Colorado community for good, it has also changed my life and the lives of hundreds of other adult and teenage volunteers.
Our mission to serve kids at risk has been greatly enhanced by the tremendous partnership we have with Realities For Children. RFC has equipped us with great access to other kindred services, provided much needed financial support, and blessed us with good old fashioned friendship. What a privilege to be included into such a great coalition of Partner Agencies…all doing great things for kids! There are so many more stories and “miracles” I could share… Please see our website for some great videos and further telling of this great journey. https://fortcollins.royalfamilykids.org/
